A dear friend recently introduced me to Catzorange after hosting a pop up with them at Maiyet in NYC. Maiyet is known for their high end, ethically crafted pieces, but they also carry a beautiful selection of local artisan goods. Catzorange being among them. The line of bags is handmade in Brooklyn by husband and wife team Johnny and Coco Mannix. Their thoughtful craftsmanship, purposeful designs and gorgeous styles are spot on.
48 & Sea
The edge of San Francisco, a place where the cool misty air is filled with the smell of the sea and thickened by salt. Fog nestles around this section of the city, creating a feeling of separation from the hustle and bustle. 48th avenue in the Outer Sunset was home for Jennifer Meyer, when she relocated to Brooklyn she brought along its memory. Her beautifully curated shop 48 & Sea carries the name of the street. As a former long time resident of San Francisco I love that she paid homage to her old stomping grounds. But this is only a small part of why I adore Jennifer and her online store.

Today marks an interesting day of remembrance for my mom and I. Tomorrow is her birthday, but every year she calls me on this day to let me know shes thinking of me and to wish me a happy anniversary. I grew up in the country, typical small towns look huge compared to my town. We have a general store/post office/gas station and a couple of schools. To give you a better idea of just how rural it is; almost everyone lives off grid, it takes 1:30-2 hours to reach the nearest grocery store and my graduating class of 15 students was the largest in the schools history.

Fashion Revolution week is in full swing, we remember the lives lost and those deeply effected by the impacts of the fashion industry. We focus on ways to make a change and to raise awareness about the massive human and environmental damages caused by our consumption habits. We look for new ways to shop, new ways to view our existing clothing and better solutions for our planet. Fashion Revolutions tag line is #whomademyclothes, they aim to inspire consumers to be more inquisitive about their purchases and companies to be more transparent with their manufacturing practices. We wanted to share our latest editorial this week because it is styled using only ethical and sustainably minded brands. These pieces are handcrafted by the designers or made by local artisans and we have to say ethical fashion is looking pretty darn good these days. We linked up with Florum Magazine on this Webitorial, they are a green lifestyle, fashion and beauty publication and we couldn't be more honored to have them share this spread.
